Life Rocks when your living room rolls
![]() Daytona was a filler really so we didn’t do much or get many photos. We knew we wanted to attend our first EDC, Electric Daisy Carnival which is an EDM music festival in Orlando but needed somewhere to fill up some days before we made it there. This is how we found our way to Daytona. We got to the campground an hour early because of the short drive but our site was ready so we were able to get in. Once we were all set up we watched TV outside because it was so nice out and we felt we were stuck inside most nights the last week. We do our normal dinner, move inside to watch TV, and off to bed. The next day Chris works and when signed off we go to Volusia Mall to find Chris his outfits for EDC. We luckily are able to find everything with a one-stop shop. I did get a shirt that I needed also. We are now hungry so after looking around in the area we find Rock Bottom Restaurant and Brewery. We are across the street from the Daytona Speedway which has begun to set up for Christmas so the park and stores are starting to fill with lights and trees. At the restaurant, we order a drink and end up getting nachos to share. UMMMM like 5 people could have eaten this plate. So much food. We did our best at it then settled up to make our way back home. It is still a bit early so we watch some TV before bed. The next day is our normal work, and dinner, try to have a fire but run out of propane. We brought it up to the office but they won’t fill it because they said it was too late. Inside to chill until bed. After work, we went down to put our toes into the Atlantic Ocean for the last time for at least the next year. It is a beautiful evening on Ponce Inlet Beach with the sun setting. We walked for a while, stopped to take a few photos, and then walked back. We found a restaurant called Hidden Treasure Rum Bar & Grill just up that road that we stopped in for dinner. We sit at the bar that has 2 others sitting at. We ordered this amazing crabcake meatloaf covered with cheddar mac & cheese lobster sauce. (droll) It was as good as it sounds. When back home I have to cut a shirt Chris has to wear for Saturday night. We measure it, pin it, and trim the bottom section off. I then use a hemming tape that I iron to make a hem. I am very impressed with how well it turned out. I cut my net shirt up to be just a little shorter but that is all it takes with it. It’s off to bed we go. It was nice to be able to relax after our workout. Chris has the day off so after showering and getting ready we sit outside together. Around 10 am we begin to pick up and get ready for our move. We have another short travel day so we leave right at the 11 am checkout time.
